15003 Sherman

Adult - Male
Adopted Medium House trainedKnows Basic Commands

Meet Sherman 15003. He was picked up as a stray by animal control.  We don’t know what his prior life was but, we suspect it was a hard one.

Appearance: Sherman has a soft thick dark red curly coat. He is on the small side, weighting in at 64 pounds.

Health: Sherman is up to date on vaccines, micro-chipped and neutered. He has been treated for heart worms and will be having eye surgery for Entropin mid-April. Due to the Entropin he does have some vision loss. He can still see well enough to be a happy golden.  The guess for his age is around 6 to 7 years old.

Habits and Training: He needs work with the leash. He knows basic commands. (Sit, stay, come, shake, down, and off)   He is a very intelligent dog and learns very fast. He was housetrained within three days. He has also learned that the hand is something pleasant not hurtful. He loves to cuddle.  Sherman is very bouncy happy when it’s meal time or he thinks he deserves a treat after being outside. He will talk to you to let you know what he wants.

Children and Other Animals:  Sherman is fine with all dogs and children. He has not been tested with cats.

Overall: Sherman would make anyone a great family member.
