Emerald Coast Golden Retriever Rescue (ECGRR) is looking for a new home for Bo, a 5 year old male that appears to be a pure Golden Retriever. His owners were not able to properly care for him, so they surrendered him to ECGRR. Bo weighs approximately 80 pounds and has been fully vetted including neutered and microchipped.

Bo is very outgoing and sweet, but indications are that at some point he was cared for by someone who was mean to him. Bo was displaying signs of resource guarding and behaving defensive when he thought he was in trouble, so ECGRR placed Bo in the care of a professional dog trainer for several weeks. Following is a video clip of Bo provided by the trainer:

Bo doesn’t always get along with other pets, so ECGRR will not place Bo in a home with any other dogs or cats. Additionally, out of a preponderance of caution ECGRR will not place Bo in a home with children.
