17004 Sadie

Young - Female
Adopted Large House trainedKnows Basic CommandsPrefers to be only dog

Appearance:  Sadie is an active 2 1/2 year old golden, weighing about 85 lbs.   A high energy girl, she bonds easily with people and is super loving.

She came to ECGRR because of some behavioral issues with small dogs that resulted in her no longer being able to stay with her loving family at a restricted community.

Health:  Sadie is up to date on all her shots, microchipped and heartworm negative.

Habits and Training:  Fully house trained, Said knows some basic commands and has mastered the use of a doggie door.    She needs work with walking on a leash and because of her level of energy,  a firm grip is needed  during walks.     Her prior home had a cat that was not an issue with her, but Sadie’s foster reports that she does bark at any seen in the neighborhood during walks.   She loves to ride in cars!

Children and Other Animals:  Sadie loves people and is quick to approach them for attention.  Her foster reports no problems with children.     If properly introduced, she is relatively fine in a multi-dog home but there is the possibility of some dominance issues if not well monitored at first.  Sadie would do well in an “only dog” environment.

SPECIAL NOTE: Sadie does not do well with small breed dogs.  Her past history involves a confrontation with a small dog while on a walk.  During the confrontation, Sadie bit the small dog and the small dog’s owner received a bite to her finger.
