If for some reason you find it impossible for you to keep your Golden Retriever, please take the time to get in touch with us. It’s important to provide us with enough information to insure your pet can be matched with another family who can tend to their specific needs/personality. In some cases, ECGRR may accept a golden mix or Labrador Retriever depending on temperament, adoptability of the dog and the availability of a foster.
Any surrender MUST be made by the owner of the dog.
To start the surrender process:
1 – Complete and submit our Surrender Form (see button below) that asks for detailed information about your dog that includes your pet’s health history. We need to know the age and sex of your Golden. It is also important for us to know if your dog has been spayed/neutered, receiving heartworm and flea preventative medicines, had a recent heartworm test, any skin or behavior issues, plays well with other dogs, cats, children, living inside or outside at the present time. We use it to determine the best course of action on our end to find your dog a new forever home.
2- Send us a digital picture or two that will show your pets best features. If you don’t have a digital camera, ask a friend or business to do this for you as a favor. It doesn’t cost a penny to take a digital picture and have it sent to us at pictures@ecgrr.com.
If you have any questions or need additional information, please contact us.
